Music

Our elementary music program is built on the Colorado State Music Standards and is designed to help every student grow as a confident, creative musician.

In Kindergarten and First Grade, students build their musical foundation through First Steps in Music, developing tuneful, beautiful, and artful skills with singing, movement, and playful activities.

Beginning in Second Grade, students continue their journey with Conversational Solfege, a sequential approach to music literacy that strengthens listening, reading, and writing skills through joyful music-making.

Throughout all grades, students experience a rich variety of learning opportunities, including multicultural lessons, technology integration, dance, classroom instruments, and exposure to many different music styles. This well-rounded approach ensures that students not only meet state standards but also develop a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
